<p>Six Pack Abs &#8211; Is It Possible Or Just A Hollywood<span id="more-213"></span> Myth?
<p>Are Six-Pack Abs a Hollywood myth and only something that we see on magazine covers and TV? By the looks of most Americans one might think that it is a myth. So is the possibility of having a rock hard stomach and Greek god physique even a goal worth striving for? Is this something that is obtainable yet too unrealistic or time-consuming to take a shot at? My answer to this question is NO!</p>
<p>The answer to this question is no, but it will take some sacrifice. The sacrifice has to be a consistent change in your lifestyle and your personal diet and exercise program, but it is a very reasonable goal to strive for. You have to absolutely commit to sticking to a steady healthy diet and completely cut out all of the junk. You can have a cheat meal from time to time, but you most always have to eat perfectly healthy. Now this isn&#8217;t as unreasonable as eating perfectly unhealthy, right? You can commit to being a loving father or mother, husband or wife, commit to paying your bills all of the time, so why should this be any different. If you take on this mindset you are 90% there.</p>
<p>Gaining a Greek-god body is not as far from the realm of possibility as you would think. We&#8217;ve established the significance of having the right frame of mind. Next you need a well structured strategical plan. One of my favorite quotes from the movie &#8220;The Usual Suspects&#8221; Kevin Spacey says, &#8220;The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn&#8217;t exist!&#8221; Well, in referencing a rock hard body and six-pack abs this is the very mindset of many people when it comes to achieving that level of fitness. Most think that it doesn&#8217;t really exist, at least for them. This is not true.</p>
<p>Consistently working out EFFECTIVELY and eating the healthy diet CONSISTENTLY is the key. Remember that with your workouts it is much better to have a short intense workout than a long leisurely one. This is what I mean by an effective workout. As long as, you can engage in this as steadily as you pay your bills and kiss your spouse on the cheek everyday, or at least in the case of working-out, every other day then the results will blow your mind!</p>

<p>Can You Eat Your Way To Six Pack Abs?</p>
<p><span id="more-211"></span>Trying to get six pack abs comes down to two things, losing the fat in the abdomen and strengthening those muscles in the stomach as well. We all know the exercises that we need to do the lower ab exercises as well as the upper ab exercises and of course the obliques and intercostals but really the eating is the core of getting 6 pack abs.</p>
<p>First of all lets be clear, there is no such thing as spot reduction. It seems over the last few years there have been even more creams and pills that have promised to melt away the fat in the abs but really these miracle 6 pack ab solutions are not miracles at all and will not get you any closer to the six pack that you desire. Instead you need to lower the amount of bodyfat on your whole body.</p>
<p>OK, so how are you going to lower your bodyfat? Are you going to low carb like Atkins? Are you going to rely on getting all the fat out of your diet? These are two options that may work but in the long term you will probably want this six pack next summer as well as this summer so you need to choose a diet that you can stick to always. I believe that the best six pack diet is the one that you can always follow.</p>
<p>Instead of counting calories and grams of fat, protein and carbs I believe that it is best to look at the plates of food that you are dishing up. Do not look at that bag of chips as being a bag but instead picture it on a plate instead. I think that you need to have 6 plates of food everyday and this food should be broken up into thirds on the plate. So instead of looking at every bit of food that you are eating instead try to break up your whole day into six meals each with three things in the meal.</p>
<p>You will look at each meal having one third protein and two thirds carbs. As you should be aware your fat comes from meats and packaged snack foods and condiments. There is not fat in rice or potatoes but there is fat in the butter that you put on them or in the chips in the bag.</p>
<p>OK so if each meal has a meat or protein component what should they be? well beef, chicken, protein powder, eggs all come to mind. The other two thirds are supposed to be carbs so what do you want there? Good carb foods are fruits, vegetables, rice, potatoes, and oatmeal. </p>
<p>Many people think that they could never eat 6 meals a day since they are a<br />
1000<br />
lready gaining weight on just three meals a day but realistically it is important to note that if you are eating giant meals that your body can not process anyway, or if you are eating a lot of snack foods then this idea of having six meals broken up throughout the day should help you to lose weight just by the fact that you are feeding your body not dumping junk into it and you are feeding it often so that you body does not resort ot crazy insulin swings.</p>
<p>This plan is not something that you do for just a while as I said before. The most important thing for this diet is to make it easy for you and consistent so that you will be able to lose weight and at the same time feel healthier. You know I am sure that if you want to get six pack abs that you need to exercise and do the right ones but I hope you know as well what to eat and when to get that six pack to show though instead of covering it in fat.</p>

<p><span id="more-208"></span>Most guys want to know which lower abs exercises or abs machine should be used to get the washboard effect? My response to them is What kind of commitment so you have to body shaping? </p>
<p>Can you do regular pull ups, push-ups with proper form and regular leg raises? If so you are in decent shape. How is your body fat level? Are you looking at dropping a lot of fat to get to seven percent if you re guy? Now you have seen some of the essentials that are important in body shaping. </p>
<p>The three essential components to getting flat abs are diet, compound exercises and genetics. If you carefully craft your eating plan to fit your body type, build muscle with compound exercises and pay attention to your unique physiology, you will burn a lot more calories, reduce your fat level, and begin to see your abs pop. </p>
<p>If you concentrate on how you burn calories and focus on working your large muscles you will find that your body will get a better hormonal response. You will in the end get a much greater increase in metabolic rate for the hours and days following this type of workout. </p>
<p>Here is an uncomplicated way to cut your calories for a six week, fat ripping training program. You will not have to count calories, but you will have to limit the portion of your food and keep your meals simple. </p>
<p>I recommend six meals a day with two of them being liquid meal replacements. Each meal will be equal in composition and calorie requirements. </p>
<p>Follow a simple rule of never eating any of the three components alone. Make sure that your portion size stays consistent. Use little plates. I use a small bowl to serve as my plate. The only thing I get to eat in abundance is salad.</p>
<p>I have to continually burn fat with high intensity compound exercises. If you are overweight and tend toward staying heavy, you will need to ramp up the above workout to burn off your fat stores while building muscle. </p>
<p>A word about aerobics. If you are ordinarily active, you will simply adopt a way to practice a short length high intensity aerobic workout on alternative days from your bodybuilding workouts. You will be practicing high intensity aerobics to energize your caloric burn and keep your lung capacity up to par. A six week pro<br />

<p>Are you<span id="more-207"></span> obsessed with your female abs? You hit the gym to workout your belly but end up doing your arms. You find yourself using every excuse in the books not to do your abs routine. If this sounds like you rest assured you are not alone.</p>
<p>Truth is the biggest complaint women have about abdominal training is that they hate doing crunches. Wouldn&#8217;t it be great if there was a fun and effective way you could blast your female abs. One that you could actually look forward to doing. One that is specially design for women and that can transform your entire mid-section without so much as doing one stomach crunch.</p>
<p>There is a way, the no crunch female abs routine way. Did you know that there are many abdominal exercises that you can do standing up or even sitting down that do not involve curling the spine like crunches do. </p>
<p>Studies using an EMG machine showed that a lot of these exercises are actually more effective than the crunch because they activate more muscles during the movement. This only makes sense as the abdominal muscles main function is to keep the spine straight and stabilized not to flex it.</p>
<p>Some of these movements fall under the isometric exercises which means the muscles are contracted but are not moving. A good example of an isometric exercise is one you can do sitting at your desk or driving in your car. First, sit up with your spine straight then simply suck in your belly button like you are trying to touch your spine. Keep your abs tight and hold for 10 seconds then release, rest for 30 seconds and repeat. Remember to breath during the contracting.</p>
<p>Some use a twisting or swinging motion which is great for activating the often forgotten obliques. These are the muscles you have located on each side of your torso, affectionately called those nasty love handles.</p>
<p>These female abs exercises actually allow you to work the muscles continuously by keeping tension on the muscles between 10 seconds and up to 60 seconds. This builds endurance which in turn can reduce lower back pain and injury.</p>
<p>This might be the exact thing you need to keep you motivated to train more often and finally get the six pack female abs you want.</p>

<p>So you&#8217;ve finally decided to put a check<span id="more-206"></span> mark beside &#8220;Go to the gym&#8221; or some other version of it on your list of New Year&#8217;s resolutions from five years ago. Congratulations! Now that you&#8217;ve taken that all-important step, it&#8217;s important that you get the best out of your fitness workouts. Whatever your goals may be&#8211; sweating it out with exercises to lose weight quickly or targeting fast abs with intensive ab workouts&#8212;let&#8217;s clear out these three misconceptions that you might have about fitness workouts.</p>
<p>#1: For truly effective fitness workouts, you need to spend money.</p>
<p>The equipment and inspiration (from being surrounded with buff bodies and people determined to have buff bodies) afforded by a gym can ensure&#8212;not guarantee&#8211; success at achieving one&#8217;s fitness goals. I say can and not does because we all know that getting a gym membership does not guarantee success, and neither does home exercise equipment. There are many varieties of fitness workouts you can choose from that do not involve spending money. Outdoor activities like biking and running are perfect for outgoing people. Strength training and yard work are just a few of the many ways to workout at home. Decide on your fitness goals, know what exercises or activities to do and what is best to eat in order to achieve them, and download or modify some printable weight loss charts for guidance, and you&#8217;re good to go. At the end of the day, it&#8217;s your determination that will guarantee success, not expensive equipment.</p>
<p>#2: Fitness workouts are pointless if you don&#8217;t go on a diet where you eat as little as possible.</p>
<p>The fact is that when you eat too little in the effort to lose weight, your body considers this a threat to its survival and responds by storing more fat in order to survive. Also, once you decide that you can&#8217;t survive without food (surprise, surprise), you either start eating the usual amount of food or start eating more than you used to from having felt deprived of food during your period of &#8221;insanity.&#8221; Either way, the body interprets this as a mere respite from the starvation and responds by storing even more fat than before in anticipation of another starve-fest. Now that&#8217;s when fitness workouts become pointless.</p>
<p>#3: The longer and harder you workout, the more muscles you gain.</p>
<p>The truth is that after some time, the body gets used to a workout routine and muscle growth reaches a plateau. At this point, your muscles will refuse to grow unless you introduce variation into your workouts. Also, training too long, too often, and too hard can actually cost you muscle mass. For instance, if you do mostly ab workouts every day, it won&#8217;t give your muscles time to heal, which they need in order to grow.</p>
<p>These are just some of the misconceptions people have about fitness workouts. There are many more, so don&#8217;t just take any workout-related advice that comes your way. Ask and learn. Making fitness workouts a part of your lifestyle is one of the best decisions you could ever make in your life, so it would pay to be as informed as possible.</p>
