Common Myths About Toning Abs
When it comes to toning abs, there are many myths associated with getting those rock hard six pack abdominal muscles. If you really want to get the body you have always dreamed of, it will pay for you to know what these myths are, so you can avoid them.
Myth 1: You only need to do cardio to get a six pack. This is entirely false. You will need a combination of cardio and strength training if you want to tone your abs. Toning abs with cardio alone will lead to your body burning fat as well as lean muscle. However, it will not build up any new muscle, so you will not get toned abs.
Myth 2: You only need to do strength training to get toned abs. This is also untrue. If you only do strength training, the muscles will grow but you will not be able to see them under the layer of fat. You should start your workout with cardio and end it with strength training.
